Radiant Lake, Kootenai County, Idaho

Private. Small Boats, No Motors Allowed

Radiant Lake (20 acres) is Idaho’s newest lake. This is a no motor lake. This lake draws its water from one of the largest aquifers in the United States and will maintain its water level (8 ft) in even the driest of summer months. Its a nice lake to swim in early in the summer but fills with algae by mid to late summer. Its particularly good for sailing on due to the winds that consistently come across the prairie. Many times this lake will have wind when none of the large natural lake do not. During the winter it is a nice ice skating lake. There are 3 parks around this lake where both children and adults can indulge in a friendly game of basketball, volleyball or just relax on the beach and enjoy the simple pleasures of a family picnic. Directions: To access this lake from either Spokane WA. or from Coeur d’Alene ID. you need to go to Post Falls Idaho on I-90 and take Exit 7 and go north on Hwy 41, then right on W Nagel Rd, right again on the first available street.
