Herman and Quail Lakes, Grant County, Washington

Small Boats, No Motors Allowed
Primitive boat launch, limited camping, no restroom or running water. Just down the road is Lyle Lake where there is a restroom but no running water.
Herman and Quail Lakes... Herman Lake is known for water foul hunting and watching. By driving on the same road goes to the Herman boat launch and driving past it you will come to a gate with a hiking trail that takes you to Quail Lake. Quail Lake is within the wildlife refuge managed area, hiking and wildlife viewing popular activities. Fishing: Rainbow Trout on both lakes; Quail Lake is catch & release, fly fishing with only artificial flies with a single barbed hook.

Directions: From Moses Lake take HWY 17 south toward Othello; turn right (west) on HWY 262/O'Sullivan Dam Road. Approximately 2 miles up the road on your left (south) you will see the entrance to Sheep Lake Rd. Follow this road all the way to past the Long & Sage Lake sign, proceed across the Potholes Canal via the bridge. After crossing the bridge follow this several miles until you come to the road and sign indicating Herman and Quail Lakes.
