Gamble Lake, Bonner County, Idaho

Gamble Lake (130 acres) is also know by locals at Gamblin Lake. This lake is just southeast of the Bird Aviation Museum off of Glengary Rd. The lake is a mile long and half mile wide. Known by the locals as an ideal fishing lake and place to view water foul. The lake is full of aquatic vegetation, which is perfect for fish to hide in and sustains marine life. There is a trail head parking area with restroom on the southeast side of the lake. There are 3 hiking trails of 0.8, 1.2, & 1.8 miles long. The county sign on this lake states "No Jet Skis OR Gas Powered Engines Greater Than 10 HP." The lake does not have a formal boat launch but there is a narrow gravel area that descends into the lake right next to the road. Fishing: Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Yellow Perch. See sign when fishing at this lake. For more fishing info call 208-769-1414. Latitude 48d 12m 55s -to- 48d 13m 46s N. Directions: On HWY 95 in Sagle Idaho turn east onto Sagle Rd to Broten, Idaho. At Broten follow Glengary Rd. to the lake.
